It’s been a dream of mine to tend to a garden and run my own business. In May 2016, I had the privilege of getting my green thumb on a sunny plot of land. While many sensible New Orleans gardeners take the summer off, I was too excited to wait. I built a raised bed, planted one too many okra plants, and I guess the rest is history.

That summer yielded many heat-tolerant flowers, like zinnias and sunflowers. As the months went on, I pulled up lawn, extended beds, and tried to eradicate virginia creeper.

So consider this the place where I keep you updated on what’s growing, what’s not growing (because that happens!), and what’s good.

See ya later.
